Submit a Request Community Support
Home Telecom, a telecommunications company based in Moncks Corner, created the HOME Community Fund at Coastal Community Foundation in 2002 to support the surrounding community in Berkeley County. In 2021, the fund expanded support to nonprofits in Charleston County and Dorchester County as well. Since 2005, Home Telecom has awarded more than $500,000 to local non-profit organizations through the Home Community Fund!

As a proud member of the NTCA, organizations within Home Telecom's service area are eligible to apply for the NTCA Community Grant Program. Applications for these grants are accepted each spring ranging from $250 to $5,000. The grants awarded each November support a variety of projects concentrated in four major categories.

Home Telecom would love to sponsor a student from the community to attend the Youth Tour, hosted by the Foundation for Rural Service. This gives students a chance to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural broadband, share their community’s story with key legislative, regulatory and government figures as well as a forum for them to meet and interact with their peers from other rural communities.

Community Involvement
Dedicated to serving the community since the very beginning, starting with a network of six telephones to connect the area in 1904, Home Telecom continues to offer reliable service and the latest technology. As a local company, we feel that it is equally important to give back to the community through charity and volunteer work and to remain actively involved. It is our belief that taking a financial interest in our community is vital to the future of our community, its citizens, and ourselves.
Each year Home Telecom donates thousands of dollars to local charities and groups including little league teams, public and private schools, scholarships, senior citizens and local chapters of national non-profits. Beyond Home Telecom's corporate contributions, our employees volunteer their time and skills for a variety of causes including the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, United Way's Day of Caring and other local community organizations.
